Update (1/4/25, 7:12 p.m.):

According to the Reno Police Department, Randy and Bonita Bernal have been found and are safe.

Officials want to thank the public for their assistance.

Original Story (1/3/25, 10:46 p.m.):

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a missing couple.

Randy and Bonita went for a ride to explore backcountry areas and ghost towns but have not returned in over 36 hours and have not been in contact with family which is unusual for them according to a release from RPD.

Police responded to Yorkshire Drive on the report they were missing.

Their vehicle is a black 1987 Suzuki Samari with red and orange stripes along the bottom.

Randy is a white man, around six feet tall weighing 200 pounds. He is in his early 70s with grey hair and blue eyes.

Bonita is a white woman in her mid to late 60s. She is around five feet seven inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.

The couple was traveling with a white Terrier dog.
