A motorcycle rider is dead after a rollover crash on U.S. 6 south of Ely in White Pine County earlier this week.
Nevada State Police troopers say the crash happened Monday just after 7:30 p.m. near mile marker 34, about four miles south of Ely.
NSP says 41-year-old Samuel Weeks was driving a Harley-Davidson north when he missed a curve and hit a guardrail, going into the oncoming lane. The motorcycle then overturned and Weeks was thrown from the Harley.
The Arizona man died later at a nearby hospital.
NSP says speeding was involved in the crash, but that the investigation is ongoing.
