A single lane closure is taking place on Kingsbury Grade, near the Carson Valley as the Nevada Department of Transportation replaces two aging drainage culverts.
It will happen weekdays, January 20 through January 30, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
NDOT says the majority of delays will be moderate, but drivers should anticipate up to 30-minute travel delays as traffic flaggers alternate directions of traffic through the work zone.
According to officials, the drainage culverts under the highway are aging and creating erosion on the shoulder of the road. These drainage culverts will be replaced during the lane closure.
NDOT advises that drivers allow extra time when driving through the work zone and are reminded to drive safely and follow all traffic signage.
