Before Nevada takes the field Saturday night, some of the people who spent recent days protecting Northern Nevada from wildfires will have a place in the stands as the Wolf Pack honors local firefighters and first responders at its home opener.
The Wolf Pack is offering complimentary tickets to firefighters and first responders who helped keep Northern Nevada safe during the recent wildfires. Nevada will host Western Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 5, at Mackay Stadium.
Firefighters and first responders can claim their complimentary tickets using the promo code RESPONDER.
"Along with many in our community, members of our staff and student-athletes were impacted by the recent fires. Our firefighters and first responders demonstrated the utmost courage, heroism, and dedication fighting these fires, which threatened our community, and we want to express our heartfelt thanks. We look forward to recognizing these units for their tireless efforts at our home opener Saturday," said Nevada Football head coach Jeff Choate.
Nevada Athletics extended its gratitude to all firefighters and first responders for their dedication, sacrifice and service in battling the wildfires and protecting the community.
