For the second time in less than two weeks, local groups gathered at the Nevada State Capitol to protest the Trump administration.

This is a part of a national movement where people are protesting at capitol buildings in all 50 states across the U.S.

People at the Nevada State Capitol were chanting, cars driving by were honking, and many people were holding up signs displaying different messages.

"We're standing up against the current administration; which I think what they are doing is absolutely crazy and it is going to affect everybody and every walk of life," said Kathleen Brown.

Similar to the last protest on February 5th, people say they came together after seeing flyers posted online telling people to gather at the state capitol.

The protest started off small, but by 12:30 p.m. both sides of the road were filled with people expressing their opinions on immigration, federal employee layoffs, LGBTQ+ rights, and other topics.

People told us they were excited to see the turn out today, and many believe these protests will continue.

"The movement is growing, and the momentum is growing so I think we will probably see more protests like this with more people," said Marcus Bushner.

We did look around for counter protesters and while there was not a formal counter protest, there were multiple people driving by the protest shouting at people and waving flags in opposition.
