Law enforcement agencies say they're joining forces to improve traffic safety on Interstate 80 between Vista Boulevard and USA Parkway.
This month, the Nevada Highway Patrol, Sparks Police Department, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and Storey County Sheriff’s Office will take part in a coordinated traffic safety operation along the I-80 corridor.
The operation is focused on improving traffic flow and addressing dangerous driving behavior.
Drivers can expect to see an increased law enforcement as officers will focus on reducing dangerous driving and enforcing Nevada traffic laws to prevent crashes and major slowdowns.
Officials are reminding drivers to give themselves extra time, be patient behind the wheel and help keep traffic moving safely.
