A new Joining Forces Speeding Awareness campaign hits Nevada's roads for a couple of weeks this month.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division teams with local participating agencies in the state during the campaign to bring awareness to the dangers of speeding.
The campaign takes place from March 6 until March 23.
The participating agencies will join together in a unified effort targeting people who are driving over the speed limit.Â
Officials say speeding isn't just going over the posted speed limit; it's driving too fast in bad weather such as rain, ice, and snow, and putting other drivers at risk.
By increasing patrols, law enforcement hopes to raise awareness and educate the driving community about the dangers of speeding and to save lives.
