The OffBeat Music Society and the City of Reno are teaming up to host the Off the Rails Summer Concert Series.

The series is a free, outdoor music event taking place June 27, July 18 and August 29 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the newly-renovated Locomotion Plaza in downtown Reno.

Organizers say each show will feature diverse genres, from rock and soul to Afro-Latin tropical dance grooves - and beyond.

"We’re excited to bring live music to the heart of downtown," said Flip Wright, Festival Director of OffBeat Music Festival and Executive Directors/Board Member of OffBeat Music Society. "Off the Rails is all about creating a fun environment where people can unwind, connect, and celebrate in a beautiful outdoor setting."

Food trucks and beverage vendors are available on-site, as well as a Kid Zone and lawn games that will be available to play for free.

Musical acts scheduled for the summer series include:

  • June 27: Killer Whale and Glamour Muscle
  • July 18: Spacehall Sound Machine and Nightbrain
  • August 29: Family Worship Center and Subtle Lovers
