The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County says overnight closures will be in place on Sparks Boulevard between Baring Boulevard and Prater Way, starting June 21.
Crews will pave newly constructed lanes as part of the Sparks Boulevard Capacity Project.
Motorists can expect the following overnight closures:Â
• Sunday, June 21, and Monday, June 22: Southbound Sparks Boulevard closed from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• Tuesday, June 23, and Wednesday, June 24: Northbound Sparks Boulevard closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Thursday, June 25, and Friday, June 26: Southbound Sparks Boulevard closed from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• Sunday, June 28, and Monday, June 29: Northbound Sparks Boulevard closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• No active construction closures are planned for Saturday, June 27.
During closure periods, drivers will be directed to use Vista Boulevard and McCarran Boulevard as alternate routes. Motorists are encouraged to follow posted detour signage and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
