PBS Reno took over Idlewild Park on Saturday for the 2nd annual Be My Neighbor Day, a free event for the community.
The event took place from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, and featured family-friendly activities centered around early childhood education, health and safety.
PBS Reno partnered with The Children's Cabinet, Food Bank of Northern Nevada and the RennerVation Foundation for a fundraiser to fill the RennerVation Bus with supplies.
Organizers say that Be My Neighbor Day helps to teach the importance of community-focused kindness and sharing by giving back to the community in which we live.
