A plane is on the roadway along westbound Interstate 80 between the Patrick and Tracy-Clark exits, forcing the closure of all westbound lanes Thursday morning as emergency crews head to the scene.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reported the closure began at 7:58 a.m. on Oct. 22. Traffic cameras show a plane on the westbound side of the highway, but it is not yet clear whether the aircraft crashed or landed on the roadway.

All westbound lanes are blocked, and drivers are being urged to use alternate routes or prepare for severe delays.

Emergency crews are en route, and a news crew is also heading to the scene. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
