Just before midnight on Friday, Reno Police got a call of shots being fired in the area of Plumas Street, near Virginia Lake Park.
Reno Police are investigating after shots were allegedly fired, leading to a car chase and three arrests
The caller said they had been following a car they believed was involved in multiple vehicle burglaries, when the people inside the suspect vehicle began shooting at them.
Reno Police ended up finding the suspect vehicle near South Virginia Street and East Liberty Street. When officers tried pulling them over, the suspect drove off.
Police eventually caught up with them but the suspect got out of the vehicle and ran away. After a short pursuit with the use of a K9, the suspect was caught.
The suspect later admitted to firing shots at the person who originally called RPD.
This resulted in a minor being arrested for shooting-related offenses and obstructing/resisting officers.
Dion Shadbakht (18) was arrested for felony eluding.
Another minor was also arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.
