Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County just launched a new portal where locals can share their thoughts on a potential consolidation effort.
The consolidation would include fire and emergency medical services from Reno Fire, Sparks Fire, and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.
The cities and county say neighbors can use the portal to read through a consolidation study and give their input. They will decide whether to consolidate after all public comment is submitted and the final study report is released in November.
