The Reno City Council has voted to have the city enter into negotiations to sell properties on Record Street for a new affordable housing development.
The properties are located at 315 and 335 Record Street, the site of the old homeless shelter.
The City will negotiate with Ulysses Development Group on the sale of the properties.
Some concerns were expressed by members about plans to demolish the building while alternative proposals were made to rebuild the structure currently in place.
Other concerns centered on the overall time estimated for completion of the project, which is five years.
