The Reno Fire Department quickly extinguished a fire in south Reno on Wednesday night just before 10 p.m.
According to a Reno Fire Department official, it began when a dishwasher caught fire in an apartment.
Although there was smoke damage to the apartment, firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the other parts of the house.
Before firefighters arrived, the family in the house used a fire extinguisher to help fight the fire.
From the time firefighters received the call, it took 13 minutes to completely extinguish the fire.
It took place at a Mira Loma Drive apartment building.
According to Reno Fire, no one was hurt or displaced, however one person was examined on the site for smoke inhalation and then released.
No firefighters were injured on this incident and 13 pieces of fire apparatus and 36 firefighters were sent to the scene, according to the Reno Fire Department.
