Driver faces DUI charge in Sparks

A 31-year-old Reno man suspected of DUI is arrested after an early morning wrong-way crash in Sparks.

Sparks Police say they called to the area of Glendale Avenue and South Rock Blvd. around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday following multiple reports of a possible wrong-way driver after a car hit a semi-truck trailer. 

Police say they found the car and driver, 31-year-old Idbin Villa passed out, near South McCarran and East Greg Street.

Authorities say Villa was given a preliminary breath test that showed a blood alcohol content of over twice the legal limit.

Villa was subsequently arrested and now faces charges of:

* DUI 1st

* Hit and Run

* No Insurance

* Open Container in a Motor Vehicle

* Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Road
