Reno Philharmonic Orchestra

The Reno Phil announces the opening of its 2024-25 season with a powerful program featuring Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major, "Eroica."

The opening weekend shows take place on Saturday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 29 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Reno.

As a show of gratitude for the efforts of local first responders during the Davis Fire - which displaced several board members and supporters - the Reno Phil is offering two complimentary tickets for the shows to first responders.

The gesture is a way to honor and thank those who helped defend the city. This aligns with the spirit of Beethoven's "Eroica," which was originally composed in tribute to the concept of heroism.

First responders can claim their tickets by contacting the Reno Phil box office at (775) 323-6393.

The program for the concert also includes Gabriela Ortiz's "Kauyumari", an energetic contemporary piece, and Carl Maria von Weber's Concerto for Bassoon in F Major, performed by the Reno Phil's Principal Bassoon Eric Fassbender.
