Reno Police arrest

Reno Police say they assisted in arresting a suspect after Washoe County deputies responded to reports of a woman assaulting people with a baseball bat at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

It happened back on July 8.

The suspect fled the scene, led deputies on a dangerous pursuit, and escaped after intentionally ramming a patrol vehicle.

About 30 minutes later, Reno Police Department officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting that the same suspect had crashed into a vehicle near Kietzke Lane and Virginia Street and fled on foot while armed.

A Reno Police Drone as First Responder (DFR) pilot quickly located the suspect and maintained visual contact, confirming she was armed as she attempted to hide from officers.

An officer found the suspect and held them until additional officers arrived. The suspect was arrested without incident.

35-year-old Bria Klein was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon
  • Driver Evading, Eluding, or Failing to Stop on Signal of a Peace Officer, Endangering Other Persons or Property
  • Destroy or Injure Real or Personal Property of Another.
