The City of Reno invites the public to attend the season opening of the Adaptive Cycling Center this weekend.
The opening event takes place Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The Adaptive Cycling Center is located at 6800 Pembroke Drive in Reno, at the Rosewood Nature Study Area.
According to organizers, attendees can expect free adaptive bike use, an adaptive bike rodeo and adaptive hiking equipment will be made available for a nature hike with the Truckee Meadow Parks Foundation.
The center opened in 2023, and serves as a base camp to access the Southeast Connector Bike Trail, as well as a connection to the Tahoe-Pyramid Bike Trail.
The Adaptive Cycling Center offers multiple memberships, which gives individuals with disabilities access to adaptive bikes with no bike transport needed.
Memberships start at $30 for a single day admission, or a season membership is available for $100 which includes unlimited rides during the season.
