Alf Sorenson pool

The Alf Sorenson community pool in Sparks will temporarily close so crews can fix a maintenance issue with a boiler that impacting the pool's heat. 

The City of Sparks says: 

Swimming lessons will continue through July 17, but we will close the main pool on Friday, July 18.

Beginning July 18, all swim lessons, except Parent and Child lessons, will be canceled, and prorated credit will be processed for canceled classes. 

All Aquacise classes scheduled for Thursday, July 17, and Saturday, July 19,  are canceled.

Beginning Tuesday, July 22, Aquacise will be moving to Deer Pool. Updated class times are:

*Senior H20 Fitness will be combined with Senior Aquacise and offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

*Adapted Aquatics II will be offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Summer Pool Parties scheduled on July 19, July 26, and August 2 have been canceled, and refunds will be processed.   

Beginning July 22, open swim at Deer Pool will start at 1:00 pm.

Programming in other facilities at Alf Sorensen is anticipated to continue as scheduled.
