A man was arrested on a felony warrant in Sparks last Thursday, which included charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

William Hill was arrested at a hotel on Victorian Avenue on April 17 after violating conditions of his release following a previous arrest and being located by the Regional Crime Suppression Unit, according to a release from the Sparks Police Department.

In addition to assault with a deadly weapon, original charges included two counts of being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Hill was initially arrested following an incident on November 14 of last year that led to a standoff with the Reno Police Department SWAT team on November 15.

After he was released and violated the conditions of his release, a new warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the SPD.

The Sparks Police Department SWAT team aided in the arrest of Hill, which happened without incident.

Hill was booked into the Washoe County Jail on his warrant, where he is being held without bail.
