To celebrate open government and transparency, the Nevada Press Association and the Nevada Open Government Coalition have organized a reception.
The Sunshine Week Reception will take place in Carson City's Brewery Arts Center, located at 449 W. King Street on Tuesday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The reception gives attendees a chance to socialize and get to know representatives of the Nevada Press Association and Nevada Open Government Coalition as they honor the First Amendment and the importance of open government.
The organizers of the gathering say that while everyone learns about the group's goals, complimentary drinks and refreshments will be provided.
