WCSO Clerk Battery

A suspect has been arrested on charges related to the alleged battery of a store clerk in Sun Valley.

The suspect, identified as Angel Murillo, was arrested following an October 6 incident in Sun Valley, according to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.

On October 6 at 10 p.m., deputies arrived at a QuikStop in Sun Valley and learned that the clerk had been helping Murillo inflate the tires on his bicycle.

Murillo then allegedly attacked the clerk, striking them in the face with the bicycle pump, according to WCSO.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Murillo was arrested without incident and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on a battery with a deadly weapon charge.
