4:32 P.M. UPDATE

A suspect in a downtown Reno stabbing who barricaded themselves in a motel room has been arrested and identified.

Reno Police have identified the suspect as David Williams.

Negotiators worked for four hours to secure Williams' surrender.

He was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon.
 
When he was arrested, he complained about medical issues. Police say his complaints were related to substances he took.

The Reno Police Department is on the scene at the Ace Motor Lodge at West 2nd and Sierra Streets, where the suspect from Thursday morning's stabbing has barricaded himself in a room. 

Police say around 10:45 a.m., they responded to the report of a stabbing outside the El Cortez Hotel on W. 2nd Street in Reno. 

An adult man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation. Police say the suspect is still outstanding, but they have information as to a possible location.

Police say there is no active threat to the public.
