The Tahoe Literary Festival started accepting submissions for featured author readings at the second annual Truckee Literary Crawl.
Submissions are due by February 15, and prior work from 2025 can also be submitted.
Organizers say people wishing to take part can do so by visiting their website.Â
The Truckee Literary Crawl debuted in 2025 as an addition to the first Tahoe Literary Festival, which was held in October 2024.
Organizers stated, "Celebrating the literary arts through curated readings and an evening open mic, the Literary Crawl invites audiences to experience new works in venues throughout downtown."
"Special featured author event and book signing with Priya Hutner for her new book Chasing Nirvana will take place on Friday, April 10. The Literary Crawl is sponsored by Tahoe Guide, The Seasoned Sage, Truckee Core Values program, Nevada County Arts, Truckee Cultural District and many local businesses," organizers added.
Organizers say the event is free and is on April 11 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Truckee.
In addition, in asking for submissions, organizers announced the Tahoe Literary Festival is becoming a nonprofit and aim to advocate for literacy in the local Tahoe-Truckee region.
