Texas Roadhouse in Reno will hold a fundraiser on Monday, September 14, benefiting Project Bear Hugs after the recent Hawk Fire burned more than 47 homes, including the home of a restaurant employee.
The fundraiser will run from 3 to 10 p.m. at Texas Roadhouse, located at 150 Damonte Ranch Parkway in South Reno. The restaurant will donate 10% of total sales to Project Bear Hugs.
The disaster relief and education organization supports children, seniors and pets through different stages of disaster recovery, including preparedness, emergency relief, rebuilding and resilience.
Project Bear Hugs programs include Comfort in Chaos Kits, HopeLine, and disaster-preparedness education; these programs strive for no one to face hardship alone.
