Truckee Meadows Community College held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new theater building at the Dandini campus on Tuesday. 

TMCC’s former theater location, the Nell J. Redfield Performing Arts Center, closed in 2019 and the TMCC

Theatre Program has been performing in a renovated classroom space.

The new, permanent building will also provide three classrooms for the TMCC Architecture Program and its Bachelor of Architecture degree.Â
