A new report from the Nevada State Police provides new details about a fatal crash on US-50A in Lyon County.
At around 2:15 p.m. on October 24, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol was called to a crash at US-50A and Wedge Lane in Lyon County.
Investigators have found that a 2007 Toyota 4Runner was traveling eastbound on US-50A towards Wedge Lane.
A 2005 Toyota Tacoma was stopped at the stop sign on northbound Wedge Lane at the US-50A intersection.
The Tacoma entered the intersection to make a left turn onto US-50 when the 4Runner struck the left side of the Tacoma.
The driver of the Tacoma, 79-year old John Jackson, and the passenger, 78-year old Laura Jackson, both of Fernley, succumbed to their injuries and died on the scene.
This crash is still under investigation by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Northern Command West Traffic Homicide Unit.
