The University of Nevada, Reno, is delaying non-essential operations and canceling in-person classes before 10 a.m. on Thursday due to the weather.

Truckee Meadows Community College is also on a delayed start, as are Western Nevada College locations in Carson City and Fallon.

At UNR, web classes and remote operations will continue as scheduled.

Instructors with classes that begin before 10 a.m. may conduct class remotely, if possible, and provide notice to students as soon as possible

Students are advised to check WebCampus for any updates from instructors.

The Redfield campus is also on a delay until 10 a.m., and the Wayne L. Prim Campus in the Lake Tahoe area has suspended in-person classes and nonessential operations.

Truckee Meadows Community College campus locations will have a delayed start until 11 a.m. due to weather.

All classes and services will operate remotely before 11 a.m. via Canvas, Zoom or other internet-based tools.

Regular in-person classes and services will resume once physical locations are open. The Child Care Center will open at 10 a.m. for families.

Western Nevada College officials have decided to open the Carson City and Fallon campuses, as well as the Child Development Center, at 10 a.m. on Thursday due to the weather.
