Someone using pepper spray during an argument in an apartment building led to a shelter-in-place order and a response from multiple agencies Thursday night.
A Reno Police spokesperson confirmed that an argument resulted in someone getting maced.
That odor escaped from the apartment and caused the shelter-in-place order.
Some people had trouble breathing and were coughing due to the pepper spray, but no serious injuries were reported, and nobody was taken to the hospital.
The incident happened on Paradise Drive in northeast Reno around 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Multiple agencies responded to the incident, including the Reno Fire Department, Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue, REMSA, a regional Hazmat team, the Reno Police Department, Airport fire crews, and the Sparks Fire Department, per our crew.
