Wells Fargo and Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada partner to help Sun Valley family

A Sun Valley family in need is getting a helping hand as volunteers from Rebuilding Together Northern Nevada (RTNNV) and Wells Fargo prepare to carry out essential home repairs aimed at improving safety and accessibility.

Next week, volunteers will make outdoor improvements to the home of Joe and Marie, a couple in their 80s, and their 50-year-old daughter, who lives with a disability. The repairs are designed to prevent future falls following recent accidents involving Marie.

The work will include yard clean-up, installing a new gate, creating pathways and dry scape, and staining newly built railings and steps.

RTNNV received a $12,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to address urgent housing challenges in the Sun Valley community.

The funding is part of the 2025 Wells Fargo Builds program, a nationwide initiative providing $1.1 million in support for home repairs and safety upgrades in 50 communities for older adults, veterans, and others in need.

Rebuilding Together is a national nonprofit focused on repairing homes and revitalizing communities. RTNNV became a local affiliate in 2020 and continues to provide year-round, no-cost repairs for low-income homeowners across northern Nevada.
