Due to some generous donations, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office was able to hold a second, smaller Shop with the Sheriff night on Thursday.

In a post on their Facebook page, the Sheriff's Office said the night was made possible due to donations from the Lemmon Valley Walmart, supported by the Honorary Deputy Sheriff’s Association.

Additional children were selected through a referral process and got the chance to shop for themselves and their families.

“I cannot thank our community partners enough for making these special events happen and providing for our community members in need," said Sheriff Darin Balaam in the post. "Shop with the Sheriff is an event that is near and dear to my heart. Being able to have a second event, no matter the size means the world to me. Merry Christmas to all!”
