Travelers using Reno-Tahoe International Airport will soon have another parking option, with a new lot set to open within walking distance of the terminal.
The Park & Walk Lot will open next Tuesday, becoming the airport’s fourth 24/7 parking option. Located at 2555 Aviation Way, the lot will provide 560 parking spaces and offer the lowest daily parking rate available at the airport.
The area previously served as an overflow lot but will now operate as a regular parking option for travelers looking for a lower-cost choice. Parking will cost $16 per day.
The lot will not have shuttle service, and travelers should plan for a 10- to 15-minute walk to the terminal. The parking option is intended for those who do not mind walking farther in exchange for the lower rate.
The Park & Walk Lot will use a ticketless entry and exit system. Payment will be accepted by credit card only, and drivers must use the same card when leaving to complete payment.
Real-time parking availability will be available through RenoAirport.com/parking. The lot entrance is located on Aviation Way and can be accessed from Terminal Way or the Interstate 580 airport off-ramp.
Travelers who prefer parking closer to the terminal are encouraged to reserve a spot in the Long-Term Garage in advance. Off-site overflow parking will continue to be available as needed.
The airport has seen continued growth in passenger traffic, with spring 2026 numbers increasing 4% compared with spring 2025. April and May recorded the strongest monthly passenger counts in 19 years.
As demand for parking remains high, Reno-Tahoe International Airport said expanding parking choices will help provide travelers with more flexibility and manage available parking capacity.
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead, consider transportation options such as rides from friends or family, and check parking availability or reserve a space before arriving at the airport.
