The Nevada Cancer Coalition and United Health Care are making it easier for people to get screened for breast cancer this month with their Mammogram Match Program.

For each of the first 5,000 mammogram appointments made during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, United Health Care will cover the cost of a screening for a person in need.

Appointments scheduled any time during this month at Northern Nevada Health Systems or Reno Diagnostic Centers will count toward the Mammogram Match total.

The appointment does not have to take place in October, it just has to be scheduled during the month.
