Five people were arrested and 10 were cited as part of an operation targeting people for soliciting prostitution.
The operation was carried out by members of the Regional Human Exploitation and Trafficking (H.E.A.T.) unit alongside additional resources from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, University Nevada Police Services, Reno Police Downtown Enforcement Team, and the Reno Police K-9 unit, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.
It was carried out on May 31 and June 1.
Undercover detectives carried out the operation, in which the following people were arrested.
Tazman Carter, 25, was arrested for charges including obstructing/resisting, attempted stat sexual seduction, luring a child with the use of a computer to engage in sexual conduct, attempted child sexual abuse for sexual exploitation, and attempted use or permit minor for sexual portrayal.
Matthew Dearborn, 41, was arrested on charges including solicit a child for prostitution and attempted child abuse for sexual exploitation.
Shawn Jordan, 28, was arrested on charges of solicitation of prostitution and obstructing and resisting.
Donnell Loving, 53, was arrested for solicitation of prostitution, as was 28-year-old Edgar Geovanni Lara-Martinez.
Those cited for solicitation of prostitution include 35-year-old Jorge Alberto Guevara-Leiva, 33-year-old Alexander Lorenzo-Martinez, 24-year-old Arturo Pena, 25-year-old Alex Guardo, 48-year-old Neil Deering, 55-year old Thomas Matthews, 38-year-old Peter Revelle, 48-year-old Que NGO, 44-year-old Joseph Ensign, and 34-year-old Steven Beardon.
Three people were not issued misdemeanor citations due to either additional charges or failing to meet the requirements for a citation, police said.
