Voters appear to be taking President Donald Trump's advice to pretend he’s on the ballot this Election Day — and that’s not a good thing for the Republican president or his party. Voters punished Trump’s allies in swing states and Republican strongholds alike on Tuesday, giving Democrats key victories across New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida and even South Carolina. Trump’s controversial mid-decade redistricting plan appeared to backfire. And in Georgia, Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Black woman elected governor in U.S. history. The AP Voter Poll found that voters nationwide were in the mood for change, and roughly three-quarters of voters feel “angry” or “dissatisfied” with the direction of the country.
