First responders in Texas are rescuing people trapped in high waters as another round of dangerous flooding has struck southern parts of the state. The storms and flooding that began Tuesday are being blamed for two deaths, while more than 200 people have been rescued by emergency officials in boats and helicopters over the past several days. Authorities in several areas including Sutton, Crockett and Zavala counties west of San Antonio say water rescues are ongoing Friday. A flash flood emergency was declared for Sonora in Sutton County. Floodwaters have begun receding in some of the hardest hit areas including Uvalde and cleanup efforts are underway.
