A roof collapse at a private school in Peshawar, Pakistan, has killed at least 34 children and a teacher. More than 50 others were injured, with some in critical condition. The incident occurred Thursday when the roofs of two classrooms collapsed. Emergency services quickly responded, rescuing those trapped. The school, Al-Khair, had children aged 13 or younger. Building collapses are common in Pakistan due to poor construction standards. Authorities have arrested the school's owner and launched an investigation. Officials, including the president and prime minister, expressed sorrow and called for safety improvements to prevent future tragedies.
