President Donald Trump and King Charles III have greeted each other warmly as the monarch begins a day of diplomacy in Washington. Charles' visit is designed to emphasize a bond between the United Kingdom and the United States that's so strong it can withstand political turmoil. Trump welcomed Charles and Queen Camilla to the White House in a ceremony Tuesday. The king shook hands with members of Trump’s Cabinet before joining the Republican president for a rendition of the national anthem. The leaders will huddle in the Oval Office for a meeting. Charles also will address Congress. Charles and Camilla will continue their U.S. trip with stops in New York City and Virginia.
