Shares are mostly higher in Europe and Asia, while oil prices have fallen back from recent gains. U.S. futures edged higher. Markets were closed Friday in South Korea and Taiwan. Â The S&P 500 fell 0.5% Thursday for its second straight loss after setting an all-time high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged 0.1% higher and the Nasdaq composite fell 1.3%. Drops for technology stocks overshadowed gains for the majority of the S&P 500. With the U.S. federal deficit at nearly $2 trillion in the last fiscal year, the bond market was unsettled as yields jumped in the morning before dropping in the afternoon.
