Protesting students have blockaded high schools again, demanding more resources for the school system. Schools across France were closed on Tuesday, a measure authorities began last week to reduce damage and injuries. French media reported protests in other cities, with labor unions supporting the students. The movement started in mid-September, focusing on grievances about inadequate resources and poor conditions in disadvantaged schools. The aggressive police response is angering parents and teachers, who are increasingly joining the protests. At one school in Paris' 20th district, students created makeshift barricades as the day began using trash cans and bicycles.
