Law enforcement officials say two people have been shot dead and nearly three dozen were injured at a neighborhood block party early Sunday morning in southern Georgia. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement that Dooly County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on patrol around 1:25 a.m. Sunday in the city of Vienna when shots were fired. Officials say deputies found two people dead at the scene and multiple others who had been shot. The Bureau of Investigation did not say how many of the 35 injured had been shot. Victims were taken to several hospitals to be treated.
