Police say a shooting in Columbus, Ohio, was not an attack on a mosque but did happen nearby. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives originally said Monday afternoon in a post on X that federal agents were responding to a report of a shooting at a mosque. But police later said the shooting happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex next to the mosque. They say one person was killed in the shooting. The area includes a cluster of two-story apartment buildings, in addition to a mosque.
