Evacuees from Russian-occupied Oleshky have crossed into Ukrainian-held territory in a significant rescue operation. This happened under the most substantial truce since Russia's invasion of Ukraine over four years ago. The civilians traveled through Russia and Belarus, following a deal brokered by U.S. first lady Melania Trump. Ukrainian authorities imposed restrictions on disclosing the number of evacuees or the border crossing location. The ceasefire in Ukraine's southern Kherson region is expected to continue through Sunday evening. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed U.S. approval of Ukraine’s purchase of 500 Patriot interceptors. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian drone attack killed two people in Russia’s Bryansk region.
