Old Dominion University police say a gunman and one victim are dead, and two other victims are hurt after a shooting at the school on Thursday morning. It wasn’t immediately clear how the shooter died. Old Dominion University Police Chief Garrett Shelton said two surviving victims appear to be in stable condition. Shelton said officers responded after it was reported that people were being shot in one of the classrooms in the university’s business school building, Constant Hall. The university in Norfolk, Virginia, canceled classes and suspended all operations on its main campus for the rest of Thursday and urged people to avoid the area in and around Constant Hall while emergency officials continued to work.
