A man was shot yesterday afternoon in Placerville, leading to an investigation by the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office.
On March 24 around 2:20 p.m., the sheriff's office received a call reporting a shooting on Rocky Ridge Road in Placerville, CA.
Deputies responded to the area and found a 56-year old man from Placerville who had been shot. The man was brought to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Continuing the investigation, deputies made contact with the suspect, 57-year old Sven Gosta Metour, also of Placerville. Metour was arrested without incident and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on the charges of assault with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
Metour's bail is set at $210,000.
Officials say that since the investigation is still ongoing, they are not able to release any additional information at this time.
