The Lyon County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) is sharing details about a traffic stop that ended as a trafficking arrest.
On Thursday, March 27, the sheriff's office Traffic Enforcement Team was conducting routine traffic stops in the Mound House area when they saw a car speeding and failing to stay in their lane on Hwy 50 near Winter Parkway.
The car was stopped, and the deputy started speaking with the driver, 52-year old Jimmy Keith II from Dayton.
The LCSO K9 unit was called in, and K9 officer Kai alerted to the presence of drugs in the car, prompting a search. Searching the car, officials found over 5 ounces of methamphetamine.
