On Friday, Washoe County Sheriff's Office deputies were called out to a home near Gerlach for a report of suspicious activity.

Once deputies arrived, they found a truck that had been stopped and talked to a person in the truck, Emily Hamilton. After talking to Emily, it was discovered that a second suspect, Anthony Messman, had fled the scene.

The person who called in the report said that he had confronted Hamilton and Messman when he saw them on his property. Then he saw Messman leave on foot.

Officials searched the truck and found multiple items belonging to the victim, burglary tools, and three guns.

Hamilton was arrested and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on the charges of residential burglary, attempted residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies found Messman the following day, walking along High Rock Road. He was arrested and charged with residential burglary, attempted residential burglary and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
