Blaise has built his career helping families of all backgrounds across Northern NV plan for the future over the past 9 years. As a co-founder of a locally owned, family-operated estate planning business, he has experience with Wills, Trusts and estate management. 

WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?

Blaise has spent the past seven years educating the public on the importance of estate planning, helping individuals and families make informed decisions to protect their futures. He understands that many people are unprepared for the legal and financial challenges that arise during times of crisis and loss. As Public Administrator, Blaise will bring a strong commitment to public service, transparency, and community outreach by offering free educational classes and workshops open to all residents. His goal is to ensure families have access to the knowledge and resources they need to plan ahead, protect loved ones, and navigate difficult situations with confidence and empathy. 

IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING WASHOE COUNTY, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?

The position I am seeking does not have legislative power but I will provide an answer with that in mind. Washoe County is in a housing crisis, housing has become unaffordable for many families. There are many policies that could be enacted, however, I believe that easing zoning regulations to allow for more medium density housing like town homes and condo complexes would increase the availability of affordable starter homes or lower rent units. 

CONSUMER PRICES, GAS PRICES, AND HOUSING COSTS ARE HISTORICALLY HIGH, WHILE WAGES HAVE NOT KEPT PACE IN NEVADA. WHAT IS YOUR PLAN TO HELP WASHOE COUNTY CITIZENS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY?

Although the position I am seeking does not carry legislative power, I have a concrete plan to make estate planning documents more affordable for our residents.​ We are currently working on establishing a private endowment that will provide simple Wills and Powers of Attorney free of charge. This initiative aims to help lower-income families gain access to essential emergency legal documents. 

WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT OF AI, AND THE PROLIFERATION OF DATA CENTERS? WHAT ROLE DO YOU SEE WASHOE COUNTY TAKING IN EACH?

The moratorium that the city of Reno has enacted is a good idea that I believe Washoe County should also adopt. It pauses new construction to allow time for reasonable regulations to be passed to protect our citizens. New technology can be great, however, we need to ensure that our water, power, health and job security are not put in jeopardy before we dive head first into the unknown.

I am passionate about improving public access to basic estate planning tools such as wills and powers of attorney.
