I have more than 30 years of public service with the State of Nevada, including experience as a Safety Manager with the Nevada Department of Transportation and previous work in workplace safety, workers’ compensation investigations, and Nevada OSHA enforcement and consultation. This experience has developed my skills in problem-solving, accountability, compliance, public safety, and working with people from diverse backgrounds—skills I would bring to serving the residents of Assembly District 40.

WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?

My top priority is making Nevada more affordable for working families in Assembly District 40, with a focus on attainable housing and responsible growth. I will work to improve access to healthcare, strengthen education and workforce opportunities, support small businesses and first responders, and ensure that infrastructure and water resources keep pace with our community’s needs.

IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING OUR STATE, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?

I believe the biggest problem facing Nevada is affordability, particularly the rising cost of housing, healthcare, and everyday necessities. I would work to expand attainable housing, protect responsible growth, improve access to healthcare, support good-paying jobs and small businesses, and invest in the water and infrastructure needed to keep our communities strong.

CONSUMER PRICES, GAS PRICES, AND HOUSING COSTS ARE HISTORICALLY HIGH, WHILE WAGES HAVE NOT KEPT PACE IN NEVADA. WHAT IS YOUR PLAN TO HELP NEVADANS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY?

My plan is to make Nevada more affordable for working families by focusing on housing, good-paying jobs, healthcare, and the cost of everyday necessities. I would support policies that expand attainable housing, strengthen wages and workforce training, reduce unnecessary costs and barriers for small businesses, and invest in infrastructure and transportation. My goal is to help create an economy where people who work hard can afford to live, raise their families, and build a future in Nevada.

WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT OF AI, AND THE PROLIFERATION OF DATA CENTERS? WHAT ROLE DO YOU SEE NEVADA TAKING IN EACH?

I am not against AI or technology. I am against giving corporations a blank check. Nevada should be a leader in responsible AI development, but before we approve large data centers, we need to know how much water and electricity they will use, who will pay for the infrastructure, and what the community will receive in return. If a company wants to invest in Nevada, it should create meaningful economic benefits, protect our water, pay its fair share, and make sure existing residents and ratepayers aren't subsidizing that growth.

I’m a lifelong Carson City neighbor and more than 30-year Nevada public servant who will bring experience, accountability, and a strong commitment to working families to Assembly District 40.
